Learning & Assesment

At FRAM School, learning is a journey shaped by curiosity, guidance, exploration, and meaningful relationships. We believe that children thrive when teaching, assessment, and wellbeing work together to support their individual pace and style of learning. Our goal is to ensure that every child makes visible progress — not only academically, but also socially, emotionally, and creatively.

Assessment at FRAM

Our Approach to Assessment

We use assessment as a tool for growth, guidance, and understanding, not pressure. Through a balanced assessment system, teachers gain insight into how each child learns and how best to support their development.

Types of Assessment

We combine different forms of assessment to understand each learner:

Formative Assessment

Day-to-day observations, feedback, and class activities help teachers track progress and adjust learning experiences in real time.

Diagnostic & Standardised Assessment

At key stages, students complete assessments such as CAT4 (Cognitive Abilities Test) to understand their strengths, potential, and learning preferences.

Summative Assessment

More formal checks, portfolios, or worksamples help monitor long-term learning outcomes and readiness for next stages.

Personalised Support

To ensure that every child makes appropriate progress, FRAM provides:

  • ESL support for learners developing English skills

  • 1:1 or small group intervention where needed

  • Individual Intervention Plans (IIPs) for personalised goals

  • ongoing communication with parents about progress and next steps

Our aim is to meet each child where they are — and help them move confidently forward.
